Product description
Polystyrol 147 F is a highly transparent GPPS grade. It gives excellent mechanical and heat resistance properties while providing with easy processability and short cycle time. It can be used for Injection Molding and Extrusion application.
 
Processing
Polystyrol 147F can be injection molded at temperatures between 180 and 260 °C, and recommended mold temperatures between 10 and 60 °C. Extrusion melt temperature should not exceed 260 °C.
 
Applications
Polystrol 147F is designed for wide range application, e.g CD Case Housing, audio Tape Housing,Transparent Parts for Refrigerator and other transparent articles in Injection Molding application, Transparent sheet and foamed sheet for packaging application in Extrusion Molding
 
Form supplied and storage
Polystyrol 147 F should be kept in its original containers in cool, dry place. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight. Polystyrol 147 F can be stored in silos. It is supplied as cylindrical shaped granules with external lubrication.
 
Food legislation
If used unmodified and under appropriate processing conditions, parts from Polystyrol 147 F comply with the usual requirements for food packaging. For detailed written confirmations please contact our regional sales offices.
 
Product safety
During processing of Polystyrol 147 F small quantities of styrene monomer may be released into the atmosphere. At styrene vapour concentrations below 20 ppm no negative effects on health are expected. In our experience, the concentration of styrene does not exceed 1 ppm in well ventilated workplaces - that is where five to eight air changes per hour are made.
